Welcome to Chorley Silver Band's Website

Chorley Silver Band is a small charity dedicated to music making and educating young people in the art of brass band music. This is done by working with local schools to give children the opportunity to learn to play a brass instrument. The Band regularly performs in public across the North West allowing players to demonstrate their skills and abilities.

NEW 19/07/10 - Band Annual General Meeting: Saturday 11^th September 2010 at 12.15pm
The Band's Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday 11^th September at 12.15pm in the Scout Hut. This is your opportunity to review the accounts for 2009 - 2010, comment on how the band is being run and volunteer (if interested) for the Committee plus join other parents in enjoying a free cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit! Please note that it is vital that we have a minimum number of parents attend so your presence would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering for the committee then please let a member of the Committee know prior to the meeting or email chorleysilverband@hotmail.co.uk

NEW 25/05/10 - Band Rehearsals on Saturday 29^th May 2010
B Band, C Band and Learner Band will be rehearsing on Saturday 29^th May 2010 at the usual time. There will not be an A Band rehearsal.

NEW 25/05/10 - Whit Friday Marches
The coach will be leaving the scout hut at 4.30pm and we expect to be back in Chorley no later than 11.00pm. If you've not already booked a seat on the coach please email us at chorleysilverband@hotmail.co.uk. There is a small fee of £5 for the coach but light refreshments will be provided.

NEW 26/03/10 - Contact Update Form
We need you to complete and return a Contact Update Form by the 30^th April. This is to ensure our records are correct for health and safety reasons. Copies of the Form are on the Band notice board in the Scout Centre or if you prefer you can download a copy, complete this electronically and email to us at chorleysilverband@hotmail.co.uk.
