9/10/11 - Annual General Meeting 5th November 2011
Remember, remember the 5th November!!
It is a legal requirement that the Band holds an Annual General Meeting. This also helps us to maintain
our charitable status. All parents are invited to attend and we do require a minimum number of 12 parents to be present.
Therefore, we ask that you make every effort to come to this short meeting at the Scout Centre on
Saturday 5th November at 12.15pm. It is your opportunity to volunteer to join the Committee, have your say
on how the Band is run, give constructive feedback on activities or voice any concerns you may have.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits for all attendees!

Welcome to our new learners, Alfie, Anne-Marie, Connor, Daniel,
Daniel, Edward and Megan who joined us on Saturday 8th October.

and players hope you settle in quickly and enjoy being part of our warm and friendly Band.

Band Christmas Party 2011: date to be confirmed
The Band's Christmas Party is currently being arranged and as soon as we have a date we will let you
know.
As in previous years we ask parents to bring a contribution to the buffet (sandwiches, crisps, sausage
rolls, salads, cakes etc) and a prize for the raffle.
New 9/10/11 - Volunteers Wanted for Management Committee
The Management Committee continues to work very hard to support the Band. We maintain
this website, answer emails, keep a check of where instruments are, monitor health and safety, collect subscriptions, ensure
child protection laws are adhered to, promote the Band and take bookings for engagements... and none of us play an instrument
or are particularly musical!
Please, please consider joining the Management Committee and supporting us.
We are particularly interested in parents from B Band and Learner Band who are not currently very well represented.
We are a very friendly bunch and approachable bunch but quite small in numbers. If you don't want a role
with responsibilities you can be a General Member.

If
you haven't already signed a Gift Aid Form (which enables us to reclaim a certain amount of tax on donations/subscriptions)
please speak to Dianne Crook as soon as possible.

home address and contact telephone and mobile numbers. You can do this by completing a Contact Update Form.
